We built a system on .NET and SQL Server for automatic replenishment of the chain’s central warehouse. The system periodically raises purchase orders with suppliers according to each product’s replenishment policy, and the goods are received. Once the goods received have been checked against the order, the system suggests where the product should go and it is put away. Transport orders for the different supermarkets are then organised onto trolleys as needed, grouping products by transport order and optimising the routes.
